School “Houses” bring a sense of camaraderie and identity and is part of what Union Day is trying to develop. Each House represents all grade levels and will follow each student thru 12th grade. Other opportunities to develop leadership skills arise from the patterns established by the house system. Sixth-graders shepherd kindergartners from their classrooms to house meetings, and some older students will be tapped to take over house planning, field day and pep rally duties from the teachers. Houses will compete with each other throughout the year, participating in PENNY WARS, The Gryphon Games and other positive contests.
